According to NDPTechworld, Myst V sales did not make the cut in September and October sales deeming the game the worst selling in the series. Most blame this poor turn out to be due to lack of advertising, with a smaller budget then the other projects End of Ages did not have enough money left over to be distributed to advertisers. There is still speculation however that even after Ubisoft dropped the Myst series once and for all, the final chapter is still turning out a profit for the distributed.

Calling All Modders!
Yes, this is a calling for all myst fans out there who are sick and tired of just modding their favorite FPS. Now you can mod URU! Using the popular open source 3d animation program, Blender, you can now create your own ages to play in, the possibilities are endless. The name of this glorious new project is called Alcugs, now this one's still a baby so it's important to be patient, but now is the best time to hop on board and contribute what you can. You can check the official site out at:
And you can also download Blender (excellent program!) from:

Myst V Soundtrack Now available!
Well, with all the bad news lately I guess some good news is in order. A few days ago the links to order the new Myst V Soundtrack were put up. While it is still not known if the soundtrack is the same as the one that comes with the limited edition box set it would still be wise to purchase the CD with proceeds going directly to Cyan. If you haven't already, please click on the link below and get your copy today! http://www.cyan.com/games/soundtracks.php.
PC Gamer Gives Myst V a whomping 68%!
It is yet another sad time in lives of Myst fans when the last game of the series get the paddle to it's fresh behind. The review, written by Chuck Osborn, was quoted as saying "Too short; nearly non-existent plot; undefined endings." Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of PC Gamer but I don't find them 100% untrue, especially when the review gave Myst IV 80% and URU 91%. This is just yet another sign of the reason why there will be no more Myst games. While I'm not sentencing Myst V to a horrible doom, it does go to show that Cyan really needs to move on. There are rumor floating around right now saying that Cyan's CEO Rand Miller will soon announce the company's next move. Only time will tell the future of Cyan Worlds.

What are your thoughts?
Myst V: End of Ages is out. What do you think about the latest release? And what do you think of Rand announcing that Cyan will be moving on to another project for the first time in years that is not Myst oriented? You don't need an account to post so chat away! But a bit of warning, keep it clean and family oriented for the sake of all fans. Thanks.
